After Spain dropped their Starfighters, the Madrid Air Museum at Cuatrovientos contacted the Luftwaffe to get one of their old F-104G´s. The deal agreed was that Germany would sell the Museum a Starfighter for a token price and in return one side of the aircraft would remain in its original Jagdbombergeschwader 34 "Allgäu" Luftwaffe colours. This is the curious way in which the aircraft is preserved, making it one of the most unusual Starfighters on display.

This model blows me away. I've spent hours looking at it in AIR Modeller and it has been the inspiration for a Starfighter I'm building now.

I spent a lot of time searching for a flaw but it's virtually perfect. The more I watch your works the more I feel that it's time for me to quit modelling for good because I will never reach that perfection! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'am an avid Starfighter fans. And it's nice to see a new side of History of this "unique" aircraft. Your build is one of the best I've seen while searching on the net. Thanks for inspiring me .Greetings from Indonesia
ReplyDeleteALWAYS amazed at the workmanship and patience.....superb!!
Perfect !
